Junior Year: Day 1 (I'ma be on national TV! :)

First day of school. Ever since Kindergarten, I've always been excited for the first day of school. I love school shopping, finding out who my teachers are, getting dressed up, etc. For the past ten years I've struggled with sleep the night before school started, usually waking up every hour or so, waiting for my alarm to go off, so I can jump out of bed and get ready.
But not this year.
I really just did NOT want to go to school this year. I guess after ten years, it starts getting old. There's no real surprise in it. I knew, thanks to Facebook, who was going to be in every single one of my classes. I've made so many friends, I don't have to worry about that anymore... I knew where I was sitting at lunch, what my teachers were going to be like, and so on. And if the whole year is going to be like this... FML, right?

Honors Chemistry - I know like, everyone in this class. It's epic. But our class is hugeee. We have one open chair. Ugh. Mrs. Peet isn't horrible, I don't think, so maybe this class will be okay. Except for the fact that today? She gave us a 150 question test. On the first day. On stuff I learned Freshman year and only half remember. Awesome.
IB English HL - For those who don't know what IB is, it stands for International Bachalaureatte. You know what AP is? IB is AP times three. Honors? Times five+. It's pretty intense. HL means Higher Level, which just means I get college credit for it. SL is Standard Level, and you don't get college credit. Or something. IDK. Mrs. Fuchs (pronounced FOX) is suppper cool. I'm going to like that class. Fifteen people. :D
AP US History - This class is about to piss me off. The teacher that teaches it is Mr. Serr, and he's cool, pretty funny. He also teaches Honors and Regular Global 3/4 which is what dumb/lazy sophmores take. My class is... twenty people big? About 15 of them had him for Global 3/4 last year, whereas I took AP World History. On my AP test, I got a four out of five, which is really good. Mr. Serr told us that AP US History was going to be the hardest class we ever take, and that he only expected us to get a two on the test. I was like, Yeah right. A whole bunch of BS. I <3 US History. I'm going to ROCK IT. Ahaha.
Honors Algebra 3 - Mrs. Kearnes is pretty cool. Not nearly as funny as Mr. Bates, but still funny. I think she has a lazy eye... Ahahaa. I know pretty much every single person in that class too. It'll be fun. I'm generally good at Math, even though I hate the subject.
Journalism 2 - This is the class that's going to kill me, and it's my only Regular class. Mrs. Magold is SUPER awesome, I already love her, but... Our class has a TON of people in it. And out of the 20+ kids in it, only three of us skipped Journalism 1. So us three have NO IDEA what we're doing... except for the fact that apparently I have to have two columns on WSHS Clubs by September 23rd (?), and I have to interview a ton of people. Ugh. I don't even know. I hope this class gets better.
Lunch - The most important class of the day. :D I'm eating in the band room with Jen and Barb and Cade and Hans and all the band people. Ahaha. 8th period lunch out in the caf. is SO crowded... I'm glad I'm finally in a period when I CAN eat in the band room.
IB Wind Ensemble/IB Music Theory - I grouped these together because they go together. IB Wind Ensemble is just band, only it's like, higher level band. We're better than the crummy old concert band. ;) IB Music Theory is every Monday and Wednesday, and we basically just learn stuff I've known since second grade. Only we write ten page papers on it. Awesome. BUT, it's only two days of the week, so I get to go home an hour early half the time! :D
Marching Band - Had a better practice that yesterday. I don't even KNOW how we're going to get through the show on Saturday without the met. We've only done the whole show without it... what... once? Ugh. And yes, our first football game actually IS on Saturday, not Friday, because we're playing Hilliard Davidson at OSU Stadium (AKA the Horseshoe) for ESPNU! YES, that means everyone in the COUNTRY can watch us. Well, if they have ESPNU. Watch us! Saturday, August 29 at I think 2:00 PM EST.

Vacation Dos. (You'll want to read this!)

Day Three:
So, we woke up, went to Dunkin Donuts, which was hectic. Ugh. Then we went on a walking tour-ish-thing around the Freedom Trail with this guy who's totally a pirate. It was awesome. Then we went to lunch at this HUGE marketplace thing... I forget the name, but it was delish. Then we went walking. A LOT of walking was involved... we took the Freedom Trail, and I have to say, it was awful. I'm not one that likes walking. Ugh, anyway. Afterwards, we went back to Common's park, and sat for a while, then went to the Cheers place, where the TV show was based off of. Then we decided to walk back to Common's park, where this lady walks up to us.

THIS IS IMPORTANT.

So, she walks up to us and goes, "Hey, are you guys interested in seeing Harry Potter for free?" and we were all like, uhm, HECKS YES. And she hands us these four pieces of paper that said a preview showing of Harry Potter was going to be played at the AMC theater right down the street starting in twenty minutes. So we were like, OH MY GOD! And ran right over there. Screw whatever other plans we might have had - they were GONE.

So yeah. I got to go see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on Monday, even though it doesn't come out until Wednesday. It. Was. AWESOME. SO funny, especially when Harry drinks little Felix. Of course, as per usual in the Harry Potter movies, they left a ton out, but it was okay anyway. There were a lot of visible goofs though. For example, when you go see the movie, watch Dumbledore's burnt hand. It keeps switching.

Anywho, yesterday was amazing. Best vacation ever. :)

Vacation Uno.

Day One:
Drove from Columbus to Niagara Falls, New York. Took lots of pretty pictures of the falls, but I wish that I had a passport so I could've seen it from the Canadian side. Apparently it's a lot prettier from over there... ahahaha. Stayed in a hotel in Buffalo, NY, and ate at Chili's. It was delishhh. Played Euchre, went to bed. Mom kept me up half the night snoring. xD

Day Two:
Drove from Buffalo to Boston, MA. That drive. Took. FOREVER. Honestly, what with all the pee-brakes we had to take... and eating... and my parents wanted me to drive two hours, which was SO boring. But Jess and I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in preparation for Wednesday. I soooooo can't wait for that movie. It's going to be epic. Our hotel in Boston is amazing. We have queen size beds, a plasma screen, and the PERFECT view of Boston. It's very nice. :) We're going to go out to dinner, then probably swim in the giant pool here, then play some Euchre (we play it a lot on vacations...), then sleeping again. Good times, good times.

My best friend Molly lives in Vermont, and is traveling down on Wednesday. I cannot WAIIIIIIT. Oh my god, it's going to be so much fun.

I'll be updating, because it'll give me something to do. Ahaha.
